Description:

The Executive Director is the Chief Marketing and Brand Manager for Johnson. The Executive Director is responsible for the development of a comprehensive marketing, communications and brand strategy, successful execution of the strategy and measuring progress on building a strong brand across all programs and activities of the school. These responsibilities include ensuring the Johnson brand is highly visible and valued globally by prospective students, alumni, current students, corporations, faculty, staff, media and others. As the school's Chief Marketing Officer, the Executive Director leads marketing and communication in supporting the school in achieving its goals of: selectivity and yield of two-year residential students, total number of excellent AMBA summer core students, the total number of excellent EMBA students and boardroom efficiency, and the engagement of recruiters and companies. The Executive Director will develop key performance metrics and continuously measure the effectiveness of the marketing strategy, implementing school-wide changes where necessary. The Executive Director will work with all programs in the school, the Dean and is a member of the Senior Management Team. The Executive Director will work closely with the Director of Admissions and Financial Aid and have significant influence and input into the EMBA marketing strategy, plans and tactics.

The?Executive Director will work with EMBA marketing and the Associate Dean for Executive Education to ensure consistency with the overall brand message, to help develop the strategy and tactics for EMBA to achieve its admissions and yield goals, provide input on the effectiveness of different tactics, and the coordination with residential admissions advertising. The Director of Marketing and Admissions for EMBA will be a dotted line report to the Executive Director of Marketing. The Executive Director will be responsible for all staff in Marketing and Communications.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications: Bachelors with 5-7 years experience or equivalent combination.

Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree together with a minimum of 5-7 years of related experience. MBA in marketing or related field is preferred. Experience with market research strategies and methodologies. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrated creativity in communication. Previous experience with public relations. Strong leadership skills.?At least two years of brand management experience and at least five years of marketing/agency/corporate communications experience. Understanding of educational or other nonprofit environment is desirable but not essential. Ability to promote knowledge of research climate highly desirable.
