I think what happens is that NTs try to get those romantic relationships at a young age because the older people do it - regardless if they've developed those emotional feelings yet or not, just to copy what the older people do.. This gives them an innate interest in it, so to speak. My theory is that because Aspie children don't see the point of having a relationship just for the fact of copying older people - probably means they don't see the point later on as well. Once one falls in love for the first time - then you start getting interested in them.
